FAITH & SERVICE
Our Catholic faith is not a feature. It is the foundation, informing every subject, every decision, and every day.
Cardinal Kung Academy is committed to the spiritual formation of the students by providing frequent access to the sacraments, Eucharistic adoration, devotions, classes that begin with prayer and opportunities for corporal and spiritual works of mercy.
The Academy protects its Catholic culture and identity by being faithful to the Magisterium in its teaching and standards, by employing practicing Catholic teachers who are willing to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium, and by the integration of the Catholic faith across the entire curriculum in a balanced, wholesome and faithful fashion.
At CKA, service is faith in action. Students in all grades regularly undertake corporal and spiritual works of mercy: supporting local food banks, organizing coat and baby‑item drives, leading parish retreats, and praying for those in need. Guided by faculty and chaplains, they learn to see Christ in every person, respond with generosity, and make service a lifelong habit of love.
“Wouldn't it be great to see teens coming to the chapel for Adoration all day on Fridays? To see them joyfully serving others in our parishes and neighborhoods? To see high school juniors and seniors giving Confirmation retreats throughout the Diocese? To see a place where spirits are high, joy is palpable, learning is engaging, and students seek to become holy?
This is not a dream—it is a reality. It is a reality that I am blessed to experience every week as I teach and minister to the young souls at CKA.”

OUR PATRONS
Immaculate Heart of Mary
The Bridgeport Diocese is consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary; the Academy also asks that the Blessed Mother continually intercede for it, so that the school and its members may persevere in charity and truth, and that students and its community may be led, through her assistance, to Christ Our Lord.
St. Michael the Archangel
The Academy asks for the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel, as protector of the youth in spiritual battles. The first period of each day begins by invoking this powerful saint.
