Inspired by Wisdom.
Prepared for
Greatness.

Cardinal Kung Academy is a Catholic Classical school for grades 6–12 in Stamford, CT. In small, seminar-style classes free from phones and digital distractions, students engage the Great Books, live the faith daily, and are mentored by devout, expert faculty. Our graduates are able to discern their call, earn admission into selective colleges and universities across the country, and carry habits of mind, character, and faith into their next steps. Families from CT, NY, and NJ choose CKA for something rare: a joyful Catholic community, classical learning, and deep formation of mind, character, and soul.

CLASSICAL EDUCATION:
TIMELESS INTELLECTUAL & MORAL FORMATION

Our classical program follows the Four Eras: Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance/Early Modern, and American/Modern. Each year, literature, history, theology, and the arts are studied together within the same era, so knowledge connects across subjects and builds year to year. Through this deeply integrated approach, students learn critical reading, clear reasoning, and persuasive writing in an education ordered toward truth, virtue, and good citizenship.

WHO WAS CARDINAL KUNG?

Ignatius Cardinal Kung Pin-Mei was a Chinese Catholic bishop who spent 30 years in prison in communist China, much of it in solitary confinement, because he refused to renounce his allegiance to the Roman Catholic Church and the Pope.

After his release, Cardinal Kung lived in Stamford, Connecticut, where he continued to speak publicly, celebrate Mass, and advocate for the Church’s freedom in China until his death in 2000.
